Worst Premier League Team of the Season: From Mustafi to Sanchez, check out the 2018-19 flop XI
SunSport rounds up the players who simply did not live up to expectation this season despite big wages, reputations and sometimes both

WHILE Liverpool and Manchester City's stars have been virtually faultless this season, plenty of players have failed to impress.
So from Alexis Sanchez - with his ONE Premier League goal - to the continually-calamitous Shkodran Mustafi, SunSport has racked its brains to work out the 2018-19 flop XI.
We've done our Team of the Season minus Liverpool and Manchester City, but now it's time for the flops...
Goalkeeper: David De Gea
Yes, he made 11 saves against Tottenham in January but his form this season has been well below par, especially in recent weeks.
And costly blunders against Arsenal, Manchester City and - in the Champions League - Barcelona have certainly not helped De Gea's case in negotiating any new deals.
Right-back: Kieran Trippier
Trippier enjoyed a stellar World Cup with England but simply did not carry that momentum into the season with Spurs.
He struggled to pose a threat from set pieces - one of his most dangerous attributes - and managed just three assists this term.
His defensive vulnerability was particularly exposed when Manchester City scored at Wembley in October, too.
Centre-back: Shkodran Mustafi
The first name on the team-sheet. Arsenal's Mr Unreliable can be a decent defender on his day. On his day...
But too many lapses in concentration and simply bizarre defensive decisions leave Gunners fans tearing their hair out with the £35million German.
Centre-back: Denis Odoi
When a Premier League side concede 77 goals in the first 37 games of the season, questions must be asked of the defence.
One of the promotion-winning side, Odoi played 31 times this campaign - more than any other Cottagers central defender - so he is the Fulham representative.
Left-back: Ashley Young
Played at left-back, right-back and on the wing this season but we're putting him at left-back.
Despite his experience and wearing the captain's armband, Young failed to impress throughout the season but often kept his place in the side due to a lack of alternatives.
Fortunate to be rewarded with a new contract.
Centre-midfielder: Mateo Kovacic
Big things were expected when Kovacic joined on loan from Real Madrid for the season, fresh from reaching the World Cup final with Croatia.
But he's offered very little throughout the season and lucky to make 31 appearances with Ross Barkley and especially Ruben Loftus-Cheek knocking on Maurizio Sarri's door.
Centre-midfielder: Fred
At £52m, Fred is United's fourth-most expensive signing behind Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Angel Di Maria. Not that his performances have justified it.
He may have started the season but has finished it way down the pecking order behind Pogba, Matic, Pereira, Mata, and McTominay. Needs to step up next year.
Centre-midfielder: Mesut Ozil
There is no two ways about it: Ozil has been poor this season.
He has not seen eye-to-eye with new boss Unai Emery and was left out of plenty of big games, especially away - but that is because he has not stepped up.
He produced one dazzling 45 minutes, against Leicester in October, but that was about it from him.
Arsenal fans will still be wondering why Ozil is on £350,000 a week but Aaron Ramsey is leaving for free.
Right-wing: Christian Atsu
In a mediocre season for Newcastle, Atsu showed exactly why Chelsea let him go out on loan five times before selling him to the Magpies in 2017.
From 28 games, he managed one goal and zero assists - not exactly clinical.
In fact he managed 14 shots on target this season and 13 offsides. Atsu just pipped fellow winger Kenedy to a spot in the side while Willian was also in the frame.
Striker: Kelechi Iheanacho
Another terrible season for the former Manchester City striker.
He has really struggled since moving to Leicester for £25m two years ago.

The Nigerian scored just once in the Prem and that was against leaky Huddersfield in September. Iheanacho's season was summed up by his miss against Manchester City last week, skewing horribly wide.
Left-wing: Alexis Sanchez
We have saved the worst until last. Fans could maybe have forgiven Sanchez for not hitting the ground running after switching the Emirates for Old Trafford last year.
But he has failed to kick on this time around and has managed just ONE league goal - the winner against Newcastle - in another woeful campaign for the £505,000-per-week forward.
United need him to step up or get out.
