FRANK LAMPARD has told Leeds fans to keep singing their hearts out with the cheeky new Oasis chant they have dedicated to him.

Leeds supporters serenaded Lamps throughout Saturday’s 1-0 play-off semi-final first leg win at Pride Park with their own hilarious version of the 2002 Oasis hit: “Stop crying your heart out.”

They belted out their new anthem to noise up Lampard, who blasted opposition boss Marcelo Bielsa earlier in the campaign for his part in Spygate, after Derby discovered the Argentine boss had sent someone to spy on their training sessions.

The Oasis version which reached No2 in the charts features the words:

"Cos all of the stars, Are fading away, Just try not to worry, You'll see them some day.

"Take what you need, And be on your way, And stop crying your heart out."

But the Leeds lyrics blasted out at pubs and at Pride Park have been changed to:

“All of the spies are hidden away, Just try not to worry, You’ll beat us some day.

"We beat you at home, We beat you away, Stop crying Frank Lampard."

NO WORRIES

With their team 90 minutes from Wembley, United fans are sure to crank the volume up to 11 - in true Spinal Tap style – at Elland Road on Wednesday for the second-leg.

But the laidback Rams boss smiled when asked about the song which takes a swipe at him and says he hasn’t put him off Oasis.

Lampard doesn’t expect to be looking back in anger once the dust settles at Elland Road – and even responded with a cheeky dig of his own.

He said: “No of course it doesn’t bother me. It’s good fun.

“I think being a Chelsea player there was always a rivalry with Leeds. However I didn’t play them that much because we were in the Premier League!”

However, Lamps says Leeds fans can sing all they want – provided his players do their talking on the pitch.

He claimed: “I certainly will take the song all day long, it goes with a big match like this. My worry is what the players do on the pitch.

I don’t need our supporters to respond with a song of their own. The Derby fans will support us, rather than digging up Leeds.

Lampard on Leeds' chant

“I don’t need our supporters to respond with a song of their own. The Derby fans will support us, rather than digging up Leeds.

“They just need to be as loud and vocal as they can be. We need to make them like that, we need to play with passion and fight. We must give everything.

“There is a lot at stake. We all know the intensity of this game between the clubs. That ramped up in January, for obvious reasons.

“If we are going to turn this round it will only be with absolute effort. This is far from over.

“I want them to come off the pitch having given everything. It’s a stadium with history.

"They need to rise to that. There is pressure for both teams, no matter which way you look at it.

“Leeds were looking at automatic promotion at one point, now they’re in the play-offs.

"These are the matches the players, when they were young boys, were dreaming about. Not the mundane ones we can play with a lot more ease.

“These are the games that will define us. We have to be at it.

“There is a quality and resilience in this group but I won’t get caught up in revenge. I don’t care about previous. It’s about can we get to Wembley?”
