MANCHESTER UNITED have reportedly made an approach for Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski.
German outlet Kicker claims the Red Devils are looking to take advantage after contract talks stalled between the Pole and his club.
Lewandowski, 30, has two years remaining on his current deal and has been linked with Chelsea.
But Bayern are looking to tie him down until 2022 and have been locked in contract talks for some time.
However, Lewandowski is not sure he wants to spend his golden years with the Bundesliga title hopefuls.
And he is yet to give any indication that he is willing to pen fresh terms.
The deadlock has opened the door for United to make an approach, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen to implement major changes.
Romelu Lukaku has been tipped for an Old Trafford exit.
