Liverpool to battle Arsenal and Man Utd for Bournemouth assist king Ryan Fraser
The in-demand winger hit 14 Premier League assists this season - second only to Eden Hazard - and has just one year left on his Cherries deal
LIVERPOOL are the latest top club to consider taking advantage of Ryan Fraser’s contract situation.
In-demand winger Fraser hit 14 Premier League assists this season – second only to Eden Hazard – and has just one year left on his Bournemouth deal.
There is an offer of fresh terms on the table from the Cherries but Fraser looks unlikely to sign it.
And ALL of the Premier League top six – as well as clubs in Europe – are monitoring proceedings with varying levels of interest, including Jurgen Klopp’s Champions League finalists.
Bournemouth do not want to sell but know they risk losing a key asset for nothing in 12 months as things stand.
A bid of around £30million would likely be enough to prise him away from the Vitality this summer.
And the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United could well be tempted.
Chelsea could also splash the cash on the 25-year-old this summer if a transfer ban does not prevent them from signing players.
Liverpool’s interest is understood to be more with a view to stealing the ex-Aberdeen man away for nothing in a year’s time.
WERNER BOOST
Meanwhile, the Reds received a boost in their pursuit of RB Leipzig Timo Werner.
The 23-year-old striker is stalling on a new contract with the German club amid interest from the Premier League giants and a host of sides across the continent.
His deal expires next year, meaning Leipzig will need to sell this summer or risk losing him for nothing in 12 months’ time.
Now his manager Ralf Rangnick has told him unless he signs, he should go now.
The Austrian said: “Our position is that if he does not renew the contract, he should change clubs.”
Rangnick was keen to stress the Bundesliga outfit are yet to receive any offers.
But he admitted it looks likely the hotshot will be off.
He added: “He has let us know and implied that he will not renew the contract.
“He would first have to agree with a club and this club would have to contact RB, which has not happened to my knowledge.”
