But he is set to jump back into management in his home country and replace the departing Luciano Spalletti.

It is claimed that Conte has already agreed to either a three or four-year deal.

Both Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain were believed to have Conte on their managerial shortlist.

But the lure of returning to Italy and working alongside club CEO Beppe Marotta proved too much for the 49-year-old.

Conte and Moratta worked together at Juventus where they won three Serie A titles.

He would later join Chelsea where he won the Premier League in 2017 and the FA Cup the following year before being sacked for finishing fifth.

Inter Milan are currently fourth in Serie A and will qualify for the Champions League with a win at home to Empoli on the final day of the season.
