Danny Welbeck wanted by Lazio as striker nears Arsenal exit
Several Premier League clubs are also monitoring him but a total break may help revive his Three Lions chances
DANNY WELBECK could move to Lazio to get over his Premier League blues.
Striker Welbeck, 28, hopes to make the Arsenal bench for Wednesday’s Europa League final with Chelsea after being ruled out since November with a broken ankle.
The former Manchester United ace, available on a free, has been sounded out by Serie A giants Lazio.
Several Prem clubs are also monitoring him but a total break may help revive his Three Lions chances.
Everton are even willing to increase his £100,000-a-week wages to secure his services this summer.
Newcastle have reportedly indicated their interest, while West Ham also have him on their radar.
Welbeck will want to secure regular first-team football after making just eight Premier League appearances this season.
In all competitions, he has scored five goals and made one assist for Unai Emery's side.
Earlier this week, Arsenal's head of football, Raul Sanllehi, revealed the club were in talks with Welbeck over a new deal last summer.
But the 42-cap England international decided to run down his contract in North London.

He said: "We were in talks with him, he had several offers, he decided to continue in the club until the end of the contract. We respected that.
"We knew he was going to add a lot to the club over the last year, but again we were in the last of contract.
"So if was a similar situation [to Aaron Ramsey, who will join Juventus on a free transfer this summer."
