Thierry Henry is reportedly a managerial target for Real Betis

Betis finished tenth in La Liga and sacked former manager Quique Setien last week just an hour after they won 2-0 at Real Madrid.

Henry’s first foray into management was a total disaster as he lasted just three months with Monaco.

The Frenchman only took charge for 20 games and would regularly lose his head in training according to Russian international Aleksandr Golovin.

During his ill-fated spell in Monte-Carlo, the ex-Arsenal man managed just two league wins from 12 attempts.

But after Rafael Benitez reportedly snubbed Betis, they appear ready to give the World-Cup-winner another go.

Henry, 41, has been repeatedly linked with manager’s jobs in recent times, clearly keen for another crack of the whip.

He was first linked with his old team New York Red Bulls.

And was also said to be interested in the Anderlecht job before Man city legend Vincent Kompany was confirmed as player manager.
