Harry Kane declares himself FIT to play Champions League final in huge boost for Tottenham against Liverpool

HARRY KANE has confirmed he will be fit to play in the Champions League final against Liverpool on June 1.

The Tottenham star has been stuck on the sidelines since he suffered an ankle injury during a 1-0 win over Manchester City in April.

But Tottenham's top goalscorer has confirmed he will be fit to face Jurgen Klopp's side in Madrid.

The 25-year-old said: "I could play if the Champions League final was today."

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino also appeared to suggest Kane would play in the final at the club's media day.

He said: "Harry Kane in the last week, Friday and Saturday, started to be involved in the group.

"It's a very positive situation for him.

"We will wait and see how he is progressing in his problem."

When quizzed about his own future, Pochettino was quick to confirm that no one was more important than the game itself.

The Argentine boss added: "Today, no one is more important than the game we have ahead, Tottenham deserve that we are all 100 per cent focused on the game.

Kane fuelled speculation that his recovery was ahead of schedule when he raced onto the pitch to celebrate the win over Ajax.

The England skipper claimed it was part of his rehab, but insisted he would not cut any corners to rush his return.
