Lampard is looking to secure promotion to the Premier League after just one season in charge of Derby.

Terry, who played alongside the Rams boss for 13 years, is the assistant head coach of Dean Smith's Aston Villa side.

Chelsea made a Twitter post before kick-off to wish them both good luck, but fans struggled to pick who to cheer on.

One said: "Frank's going to make it. I'm rooting for him."

While another said: "Terry wins this."

While one Twitter user claimed: "Whichever team wins, Chelsea fans get a win. Terry or Lamps back in the Premier League."

Some Chelsea supporters have decided to cheer on Lampard amid claims he will replace Maurizio Sarri next season.

Juventus are lining up a move for the Chelsea manager - which could see the 40-year-old return to the Bridge.

One Blues fan said: "Get Frank in and let Sarri go to Juve."
