INTER MILAN are reportedly in the race for Real Madrid outcast Gareth Bale as Antonio Conte plots a huge summer transfer spree.
Ex-Chelsea boss Conte replaced Luciano Spalletti last week and has already began compiling a shortlist of players he wants.
Welsh forward Bale, who has already been told he is not in Zinedine Zidane’s plans next season, is a San Siro target, report.
Conte is confident he can convince the ex-Tottenham star to make the switch to Serie A with Champions League football returning to Inter.
Bale famously scored a hat-trick against Inter in 2010 during a 4-3 defeat at the San Siro - while he inspired Spurs to 3-1 win in the second leg.
Inter face competition from Manchester United in the race for the Welshman.
However, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men playing Europa League football next season Conte believes Bale will prefer the San Siro.
It comes after Spanish outlet AS asked Los Blancos supporters to vote on whether the Wales star stays or goes - and 91 per cent of FIVE MILLION voters want him to leave.

As well as Bale, Conte has also plotted a move for United wantaway Alexis Sanchez with a “formal approach” reportedly made last month.
Romelu Lukaku, a man Conte wished to sign when he first arrived at Chelsea in 2016, could also follow.
It was suggested Lukaku had even agreed terms with the Italian giants that involved taking a pay cut.
Elsewhere in Manchester, SunSport can reveal that City have instantly turned down a bid of £13.25m for right-back Danilo.
