Stoke demand £23m fee for Jack Butland putting off Bournemouth and Crystal Palace who are in transfer pursuit
STOKE are demanding a staggering £23million for England goalkeeper Jack Butland.
And that has put the chase for him on hold.
Bournemouth and Crystal Palace want to give Butland, 26, a Premier League move.
But the price is proving to be a huge problem.
He is hoping to leave this summer but the Potters will not buckle over their fee.
Butland’s former club Birmingham have a 20 per cent sell-on clause.
And that would see them net around £3.6m.
Bournemouth need 31-year-old stopper Asmir Begovic to move on first.
They will use any funds generated from his sale to try and bring Butland to the South Coast.
And Crystal Palace also need to sell a player first before they can launch a bid.
They could part of funds generated from flogging Wilfried Zaha on a swoop for the keeper.
