Jesse Lingard in line for new Man Utd contract worth huge £130,000 a week after becoming integral under Solskjaer

JESSE LINGARD is in line for a contract extension at Manchester United.

Lingard, 26, still has two years left on his deal, but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to nail down his integral players.

The England star will see his pay rise by a quarter to £130,000 a week — still some way short of United’s biggest earners.

Lingard has been at United since he was seven, and there are no complications expected in sorting out his new contract.

Solskjaer is on the brink of completing his first signing with Dan James joining from Swansea for an initial £15million.

The young Welshman earned rave reviews at Leeds last season and is on course to follow in his international boss Ryan Giggs' footsteps.
