Man Utd boost as Pogba no longer able to return to Juventus after Mino Raiola’s ban is upheld in Italy

MANCHESTER UNITED have been handed a boost in their desire to keep Paul Pogba after his agent Mino Raiola's transfer ban was upheld in Italy.
That means the super agent, 51, who also looks after Matthijs De Ligt, cannot seal any deals in the country of his birth owing to the Italian Football Federation's suspension.
However, his worldwide ban has been suspended until a final decision is made next month.
Raiola was originally handed a three-month ban from all football activity by Fifa.
He blamed a "frustrated weirdo" on the punishment.
Raiola said at the time: "I immediately called in lawyers and I appeal.
"This is a personal error. I have not received any explanation.
"Perhaps this is a result of a story from some frustrated weirdo. Write that down.

"You can ask me three thousand questions about it, but I honestly don't know what's going on."
But that ban has been suspended after his appeal against it was filed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
The initial ban would have ended after the English summer transfer window closes but he can now complete deals for his players before the final verdict.
That, of course, does not mean Pogba is bound to stay at Old Trafford though because Real Madrid are also interested in signing the 26-year-old World Cup winner.
However, they have balked at the £135million asking price even though manager Zinedine Zidane has reportedly demanded the deal take place.
SunSport told you talks between the two clubs had taken place.
