It will see the midfielder fail to report to pre-season training as he looks to push through a big summer move to Real Madrid.

Chelsea were forced to sell goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois last summer after the Belgium refused to report for pre-season training before sealing a move to Real.

Pogba is set to fly to America for a summer holiday and leave agent Mino Raiola to work with United and Real over a £150million transfer.

The Frenchman arrived in Manchester from Juventus in 2016 for a then-record £89m - but after three seasons back in England he has failed to hit the heights once achieved in Italy.

After clashing with manager Jose Mourinho last season the World Cup winner has had his heart set on a move away from England, despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer taking over.

Real recently shelled out £130m for Chelsea winger Eden Hazard, who then urged Pogba to join him in the Spanish capital.

Bernabeu chiefs face competition from Pogba’s former side Juventus, though it is clear the player wants a move to Madrid - highlighting the chance to play under manager Zinedine Zidane.

SunSport revealed the Spanish giants met with United officials earlier in the month when they were in London to complete the signing of Hazard.

Despite United demanding £150m - Real value the 26-year-old at £135m as negotiations continue.
