Zola to leave Chelsea when contract runs out in summer and could follow Sarri to Juventus
CHELSEA coach Gianfranco Zola will leave when his contract expires this summer, according to reports.
Zola, 52, made an emotional return to Stamford Bridge last year as assistant to Maurizio Sarri.
The Italian penned a one-year deal, but with Sarri heading back to Italy to take over at Juventus, the club has decided not to extend his stay in West London.
report Zola has snubbed the chance to become a Chelsea ambassador as he is keen on continuing his coaching career.
Zola spent six years as a player in West London scoring 59 goals in 229 appearances and is hotly tipped to follow Sarri to Turin.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are yet to make any contact with Derby about Frank Lampard.
The Blues have identified Lampard as the man to replace Sarri in the Stamford Bridge hot seat.

But the Championship side are determined to hold on to their rookie boss by opening talks to extend his stay at Pride Park.
Rams chairman Mel Morris is resigned to losing Lampard, 40, at some point but wants him to lead their promotion challenge next season after coming so close in May.
And after an excellent first season in the dugout, the club decided Lampard will be rewarded with a new deal and have pressed ahead with talks despite any interest from the Premier League side.
