SOCCER AID returned and it did not disappoint with yet another star-studded line up.

Stamford Bridge hosted this year's Unicef charity match with the likes of Usain Bolt, Sir Mo Farah and F2 Freestylers on show.

Who won Soccer Aid 2019?

World XI got revenge for last year's penalty shootout defeat to claim the Soccer Aid title after it finished 2-2 in normal time.

After a nervy opening 15 minutes, the game burst into life with Jeremy Lynch getting on the rebound of Mark Wright's volley to score the opener.

The F2 Freestyler double his tally, swivelling on his heels to strike past Brazil legend Julio Cesar.

But Usain Bolt pulled one back before half-time, beating his nemesis Jamie Carragher.

And Kem Cetinay produced the goal of the game, turning John Terry inside out, and firing past David Harewood to equalise and send the game to penalties.

It got even better for World XI as misses from Joe Wicks, Mark Wright and Lee Mack for England - plus a second strike from Cetinay - saw them take revenge for the loss from 12 months ago.

Who was in Soccer Aid 2019 line-up?

England

David Seaman

Can’t recall anything the ex-Arsenal goalkeeper did other than pick the ball out of his net.

Mo Farah

Expertly tackled Usain Bolt as he raced clear on goal, while also stopping Michael Essien on the edge of the box. Impressive performance.

Jamie Carragher

Greeted by pantomime boos whenever he touched the ball, the Liverpool man was determined to keep a clean sheet at all times. He failed.

Mistimed a header that allowed Bolt to slot into the bottom corner. But he did brilliantly divert Drogba’s shot off the line.

John Terry

Back at Stamford Bridge, the centre-back was cool and composed and looked as though he could still do a job in the Premier League.

Mark Wright

Another stellar performance from the reality TV star who was constantly bombing down the channels from left-back. Was key in England’s opener, and was unlucky not to score himself.

Katie Chapman

Showed why she was capped 94 times by England as she helped England push forward regularly. Was key in Lynch’s second strike.

Glen Johnson

Starting in midfield, the former right-back almost broke the deadlock with a bending effort. Stopped the World XI from breaking repeatedly.

Sam Claflin

Was always trying to make himself available for his team-mates in the middle of the pitch, and made a number of key passes in the final third. But missed a sitter from inside the box just before the half hour mark.

Jeremy Lynch

The football freestyler showed his class down the left wing with a number of dazzling dribble and tricks, before he fired England in front with a finish from close range, and then half-volley home.

A former Arsenal youth star, Lynch was the standout player on the pitch.

Rachel Yankey

The Arsenal legend was guilty of sloppy passes and deliveries. But the 39-year-old was always trying to move the ball forward.

Danny Jones

Didn’t get many opportunities, but the McFly musician put in a shift for his team as he chased every ball and was constantly pressuring the defence.

Marvin Humes

Missed a chance just after coming on in the first half. An uninspiring performance.

David Harewood

Didn’t have too much to do between the sticks, but made an important stop to keep out Drogba.

Anthony Middleton

The former soldier was another player that helped out at all times.

Ben Shepherd

The only player to have been sent off at Soccer Aid, the TV presenter didn’t get himself in the bad books of the referee this time around.

Joe Wicks

Neat and tidy in possession, Wicks was a real handful when he came on.

Jamie Redknapp

Ex-Reds midfielder didn’t do too much after coming on.

Joe Cole

Showed off his silky skills and dribbles, and was unlucky not to have been awarded a penalty. Missed an easy chance when he should have squared.

Michael Owen

Barely had any chances and was often running around after the ball.

Lee Mack

Could have scored when picked out by Wicks, but he skied high over the bar, while he also spurned an effort from a corner.

Alan Sexton

The Good Morning Britain competition winner came on in the dying embers before the full-time whistle, but had no impact.

World XI

Julio Cesar

Made a wonder save to deny Johnson from curling home the opener, before expertly denying Mark Wright three times in the opening period.

Also made a brilliant double save to stop Lynch and Humes. Brilliant performance.

Roman Kemp

Could’t deal with Lynch and was often beaten down the channel.

Ricardo Carvalho

Another returning Chelsea man, the Portuguese defensive stalwart looked a shadow of the player he used to be.

DJ Locksmith

The Rudimental star brought the ball out well from defence, and didn’t look out of place alongside

Fran

The former Brazil Women’s ace often found herself outnumbered as England came forward down the flanks.

Niall Horan

It was a case of the wrong direction for the pop star. The singer failed to find a team-mate with a number of crosses down the left flank.

Martin Compston

Put maximum effort in, but often found himself chasing the game.

Michael Essien

The Chelsea icon showed he is still a top class operator, but was lucky not to give a penalty away when he clipped Johnson inside the box.

Rosana

Another former Brazilian international, the 36-year-old failed to get enough support from her team-mates. She still caught the eye with a number of nice flicks.

Usain Bolt

Took his goal brilliantly as he slotted his strike into the bottom left corner with a first time strike. But the jury is still out on his first touch.

Didier Drogba

The Blues hero caught the eye with a glorious rabona cross early on, and proved a handful for Farah all night. The Ivorian’s certainly still got it.

James McAvoy

Got stuck in and battled for every ball.

Danny O’Carroll

A solid outing for the Irish actor.

Nicky Byrne

Didn’t have much to after replacing Cesar in goal, but stopped Joe Cole well at his near post.

Roberto Carlos

Yet another Brazilian player that featured, the Real Madrid legend showed dazzled going forward.

Robert Pires

Linked up well with Carlos as he added a touch of French class to the match.

Robbie Keane

Former Tottenham striker made a number of eye-catching passes after coming off the bench.

Kem Cetinay

Love Island star was the youngest person on the pitch at 23, but he equalised in emphatic fashion as he cut inside Terry and curled a left-footed effort home into the far corner. And boy didn’t he celebrate.
