Romelu Lukaku told by Belgium coach Roberto Martinez ‘it is clear’ he must leave Man Utd
ROMELU LUKAKU has been told by Belgium boss Roberto Martinez that “it is clear” he must leave Manchester United.
Inter Milan are interested and United are ready to listen to offers — but want to recoup much of the £75million they paid Everton two years ago.
Lukaku, 26, was not an automatic starter last season and his international boss reckons the No9 must get out of Old Trafford.
Martinez, who also managed Lukaku at Everton, told Belgian newspaper NLN: “It is clear that he has to leave Manchester United.
“It would be a good thing for both parties. It is now important that Romelu finds the right club.”
Last week Lukaku, who has netted 42 in 96 games for United, hinted that he fancied working for new Inter boss Antonio Conte - and could follow Paul Pogba out of the Old Trafford exit.
He said: “I know what I’ll do, but won’t say it. Do I expect a busy summer? Yes.
“I’ve had a difficult season at club level and haven’t played much.
“I was always a big fan of the Italian league.

“And Conte going back to Inter is really good because, to me, he’s the best manager in the world.”
Man Utd had, according to reports, previously proposed to include Milan Skriniar in any swap deal for Lukaku.
That came after other reports claimed Lukaku had agreed terms with the Serie A giants.
Nothing is set in stone, though, and Inter may want to think again if they look back on this shocking Lukaku miss from last week against Scotland.
Lukaku previously said he is expecting a "busy summer".
He said: "; "I have a contract with Man United.
"I'll speak with my club and my agent Federico Pastorello to make the best decision.
"I am going to enjoy my holidays with my family now. I know what I'll do but won't say it.
"We'll see. If I expect a busy summer? Yes."
