FURIOUS Piers Morgan labelled Jesse Lingard a "stick insect with the muscle power of a neutered Poodle" after the England star named the TV presenter as the celebrity he would most like to punch.

Arsenal fan Morgan jabbed back in their latest Twitter spat, claiming the Manchester United midfielder was unfit for "Mike Tyson chat".

Morgan finally put a flea in the ear of the 26-year-old after they have long bugged each other.

And the latest video of Lingard is just his latest social media controversy.

A half-baked "Beans, Beans, Beans" clip went viral last week for its sheer weirdness.

Then Lingard prompted outrage on Wednesday by uploading a clip to Snapchat of a messy hotel room in Miami he was sharing with club and country team-mate Marcus Rashford.

United fans stormed onto Twitter to vent their ire, some calling for Lingard to be sacked, others labelling him a "pure idiot", "unprofessional", "a b***end" and "disrespectful".

Now he is sparring once more with Good Morning Britain host Morgan after singling out the 54-year-old when SPORTbible asked him who he would hit if he had to punch a famous person.

The 24-cap ace laughed as he chose the 54-year-old broadcaster.

But Morgan was obviously earwigging as he hit back with this tweet: "Mate @JesseLingard - you’re a 5ft 7in, 128lb stick insect with the muscle power of a neutered Poodle.

"So maybe cut the Mike Tyson chat, yeah?"

Lingard has taken far worse stick than that, though.

That means he must be pretty insect repellent by now.
