CRYSTAL PALACE have slapped a £45million fee on Aaron Wan-Bissaka - the same as Kyle Walker.
The England Under-21 right-back will be allowed to join Manchester United when Palace’s upfront price is met, with add-ons taking the deal to £60m.
Talks between the clubs are set to continue this weekend after United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward returns from holiday.
The deal will make 21-year-old Wan-Bissaka the most expensive British defender, overtaking Walker when he triggers bonuses for appearances and trophies.
But Palace are insisting on the initial fee matching the £45m Tottenham received for Walker two years ago when he joined Manchester City.
Walker was an England international at the time and went on to win the Premier League title in both seasons at the Etihad and star at the World Cup.
Wan-Bissaka is not yet in Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions squad, but attracted interest from United after a stunning 18 months since breaking into senior football.

Palace are aware Wan-Bissaka is open to a switch this summer and wants the move to go through.
But so far there has been no breakthrough in talks.
Palace were left fuming at a bid of £35m plus £15m in add-ons which was deemed derisory.
