CRYSTAL PALACE have dismissed Manchester United’s latest offer for Aaron Wan-Bissaka due to Champions League related add-ons they considered “unrealistic”.

The Eagles have now rejected two bids for the England Under-21 full-back who is keen to make the move to Old Trafford.

Wan-Bissaka, 21, has reportedly agreed a long-term deal with United worth £80,000-a-week.

And the report United’s second bid was worth up to £50million.

However, Palace were guaranteed just £35million for the 21-year-old right-back with another £15m depending on how well Wan-Bissaka performed and if United start winning trophies again.

The clause that stood out for Crystal Palace was a lump sum payable from Manchester United if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side won the Champions League.

United, who failed to even qualify for Europe’s top tournament by finishing sixth last term, have not won the Champions League since beating Chelsea in Moscow 11 years ago.

The clubs are close to striking a deal but waiting for United to become a European super-power again was deemed to be “wildly unrealistic” by the Palace top brass.

Another element of the talks involves potentially removing a sell-on clause agreed when Wilfried Zaha returned to Palace from Manchester United four years ago, which could potentially cost the London club up to £15m if they flog the forward.

Wan-Bissaka is currently with England Under-21’s at the European championships.

He came under fire for a shocking performance resulting in a stoppage-time own goal in the defeat against France and was dropped for the loss against Romania last Friday.
