Kane, Ozil and Ramos among football stars married in lavish wedding ceremonies this summer
SUMMER loving happened so fast - never has the Grease song been more apt than this year, when several of the world's top footballers got married.
From Sergio Ramos' star-studded "wedding of the year" in Seville to England hero Harry Kane's ceremony in a secret location, 2019 has been the year to get hitched.
And it is Arsenal stars who showed they are winning at life - despite losing in the final of the Europa League - with three of their stars tying the knot.
The most high-profile of the lot was Mesut Ozil, with the German World Cup winner getting hitched to gorgeous model Amine Gulse.
Ozil, 30, married Gulse in the Turkish city of Istanbul, and the couple had their reception at the Four Seasons hotel.
Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his wife Emine were witnesses.
Ozil was slammed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel's chief of staff for inviting the controversial Erdogan along.
Helga Braun accepted the decision of Ozil and Gulse, 26, was of a "private" nature, but suggested the "role model" was setting a bad example.
And the stinging words may have had some impact on the Gunners midfielder, who looked somewhat glum on one of the biggest days of his life.
The same could not be said for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, though, who enjoyed an incredible boat ride through Venice with his new wife Betty Vardanyan.
Brunette Betty, 30, is the daughter of Armenian politician Mikael Vardanyan and looked radiant in her ivory dress, shimmering tiara and long veil.
The loved up couple of the same age appear to have enjoyed a whirlwind romance having been linked with each other for the first time just last summer.
Sead Kolasinac, 26, set the wheels in motion among Arsenal players after wedding longtime girlfriend Jana Ramin in a very private ceremony earlier this summer.
And North London rival and Spurs star Kane, 25, kept his big day with childhood sweetheart Kate Goodland, 26, under wraps too, with a wedding in an unknown but seemingly exotic location.
WEDDED BLISS
The World Cup Golden Boot winner posted a photo of himself tenderly kissing his spouse on the forehead and another monochrome photo of him whisking her off her feet on a small pier out to sea.
Kane proposed to long-term partner Kate in the Bahamas in 2017, having met her while they were both at school.
The couple have two young daughters together, Ivy and Vivienne.
And as Kane celebrated his joyous day - after a summer of disappointment on the football field - he posted this message: "Finally got to marry my Best Friend! I love you."
Kane wore a white blazer with black trousers, while Kate was in an elegant, understated white gown.
For glitz and glamour, though, you cannot beat Real Madrid captain Ramos' incredible bash - even if Cristiano Ronaldo was not invited.
David and Victoria Beckham were the star guests as the Bernabeu legend got hitched to Spanish TV presenter Pilar Rubio.
Brazilian icons Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos, Real boss Zinedine Zidane and Chelsea star Alvaro Morata were also there for the big day.
Becks, 44, smiled readily - in contrast to wife Victoria - as he waved to cameras.
The ex-England skipper - who played at the Bernabeu from 2003 to 2007 - wore a blue morning suit.
Former Spice Girl Victoria, 45, opted for a formal-looking, high-necked white print dress and stand-out pink shoes, along with her trademark dark sunglasses.
Real's Croatia playmaker Luka Modric was among a guest list that could make at least two outstanding world XIs from the past two decades.
And while Ramos himself played it safe, bride Pilar chose to carry black flowers with her sleeveless light-grey dress.
Around 500 guests were invited - with ex-Arsenal star Santi Cazorla revealing he was on the rum all night and bumper cars for an hour and a half.
Funnily enough it was Beckham's old team-mate Peter Schmeichel who also decided to get married this summer, to former Playboy model Laura von Lindholm.
The pair had split up two years ago after beginning their relationship in 2014 - but recently re-coupled and decided to tie the knot.
Laura, 46, a former Playboy model and now nutritionist and actor, wore a white dress as Schmeichel, 55, wore a navy suit with bow tie.

The marriage took place in front of 200 guests at the Egebaeksvang Church in Espergaerde, Copenhagen - four months after they got engaged.
Son Kasper, who is the current Leicester keeper, was pictured with his wife Stine Gyldenbrand Schmeichel - who wore a yellow dress.
And the wedding bells continued overseas, with England star Jadon Sancho among those invited to the wedding of Borussia Dortmund defender Manuel Akanji.
