Jack Clarke undergoing Tottenham medical today ahead of £8.5m transfer from Leeds
JACK CLARKE will undergo a medical at Tottenham today ahead of completing his £8.5m move from Leeds United.
The 18-year-old winger has been granted permission by the Championship club to speak with the Premier League giants.
And the starlet will head to Spurs’ Enfield HQ to thrash out personal terms and undergo his physical this afternoon.
Leeds have rejected two offers from the Champions League finalists for the youngster.
But he has told Elland Road chiefs and boss Marcelo Bielsa he wants to join Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Now a fee has been agreed, he looks set to wrap-up his dream switch less than nine months after his breakthrough at Leeds.
And the York-born ace will be the latest English player Poch hopes to help transform from promising talent into a full international.
Full-back Kieran Trippier, defender Eric Dier and attacker Dele Alli are three of the talents brought to North London by the Argentine that have developed into Three Lions regulars.
That is in addition to homegrown talents Harry Kane and Harry Winks.
Clarke proved to be a key member of Bielsa’s promotion-chasing squad over the past campaign with a series of cameos from the bench.
The attacker made 25 appearances in total, starting on five occasions.
He has just two years remaining on his contract at Leeds after progressing through their academy.
