AC MILAN are prepared to offer Arsenal a choice of two players to land Lucas Torreira.
The Uruguay star is keen on a return to Italy after just a year in the Premier League, according to reports.
Milan have appointed Marco Giampaolo as their new head coach, and the former Sampdoria boss has put a reunion with the 23-year-old midfielder high on his agenda.
If the Gunners were prepared to do business, they would demand a fee well in excess of the £25m they paid for the Uruguay international after the World Cup.
Just like Arsenal, the Milan giants have a tight budget to work with and have offered either Franck Kessie or Ricardo Rodriguez to tempt the Gunners into doing business, claim .
Midfielder Kessie, 22, joined Milan on an initial two-year loan deal from Atalanta in 2017 with an obligation to buy this summer.
The Ivory Coast star has made 96 appearances in all competitions, contributing 12 goals and eight assists.
But Milan are expected to go through with the deal and look to move Kessie on again as soon as possible, with the Emirates an ideal destination in order to get a deal done for Torreira.
Gunners boss Unai Emery is looking to bolster his midfield options regardless of whether the Uruguayan returns to Serie A.

But if he does not fancy Kessie, Milan will allow defender Ricardo Rodriguez to move to North London.
The 26-year-old Swiss international moved to the San Siro from Wolfsburg two years ago and has made 88 appearances.
Rodriguez’s versatility allows him to operate at left-back and in a more advanced role to provide competition for Saed Kolasinac.
