ROMELU LUKAKU'S agent held a meeting with Inter Milan chiefs and appeared to be pictured at the Serie A club.

The Belgian striker, 26, is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer and agent Federico Pastorello confirmed the San Siro club are trying to strike a deal to lure Lukaku to Italy.

Italian outlet posted a picture on their website where Pastorello looks to be with Inter.

The report claims Lukaku’s agent had “another long meeting at Inter” with the club's executives.

After meeting with Inter chiefs in Milan, Pastorello told reporters: "Lukaku is a dream, a difficult one to make happen as such, but I believe nothing is impossible."

The agent was then asked if Inter are actively trying to sign him.

He added: "Yes, he’s [Lukaku] publicly expressed his plans and desires. We’ll see what happens."

Lukaku managed 15 goals last season but has struggled to live up to his £75million price tag.

And with Marcus Rashford often preferred as the central striker by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he sees his future elsewhere.

TERMS AGREED

As revealed by SunSport, the former Chelsea and Everton man has already agreed personal terms with Inter.

Once a deal is struck between United and Inter - with the Red Devils unwilling to sell him for less than the fee they paid for him in 2017 - Lukaku will earn £180,000 per week as he links up with Antonio Conte in Milan.

The striker openly admitted he would love to work alongside Italian Conte, who tried to sign the Belgian for Chelsea in 2017.

Lukaku said: "Good that Conte went to Inter, for me, he is the best coach in the world.

"As for my future, I have already made a decision that I still cannot communicate publicly out of respect for Manchester United with whom I have a contract.

"I am a big Serie A fan, those close to me know that I have always wanted to play in the English league and in the Italian one, I love Italy.

"And then Cristiano Ronaldo arrived, Sarri will go to Juventus, Ancelotti is at Napoli, it will be an exciting Serie A.

"The club and my agent will talk about it but I have already made my decision."

And his international manager Roberto Martinez - who also worked with Lukaku at Goodison Park - is keen for his star striker to move on.

He said: "It is clear that he has to leave Manchester United. It would be a good thing for both parties. It is now important that Romelu finds the right club."
