Arsenal risk losing Kieran Tierney to Napoli because they will not pay £25m transfer fee but Italians will
ARSENAL could face further transfer misery in their pursuit of Celtic defender Kieran Tierney.
The Gunners are refusing to stump up the £25million needed to land his signature while they put all their eggs in one basket with Wilfried Zaha.
Boss Unai Emery is prepared to blow nearly all of his transfer budget on the Ivory Coast international.
A move for the winger is expected to drag on throughout the summer meaning a deal for Tierney is becoming less likely.
That is because the Spaniard was handed a transfer budget of just £40m having failed to qualify for the Champions League.
And it means Italian side Napoli have the advantage in the race for the left-back's signature.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti wants the Scotland international's signature as he looks to bolsters his squad over the summer.
Arsenal had already launched a £15m bid but Celtic quickly rejected the offer.

Hoops boss Neil Lennon went so far as describing the figure in stark terms, saying: "It's going to have to take a lot more than what they’ve offered the first time around."
Meanwhile Palace are holding out for around £80m if they are to entertain a bid for Zaha.
This is despite the player telling the club that he wants to leave for the Emirates.
