Arsenal edge closer to £25m Kieran Tierney transfer as Celtic complete transfer signing for replacement Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo

CELTIC are preparing for life without left-back Kieran Tierney after confirming the signing of Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo from Rapid Vienna.

The Hoops announced the defender's arrival late on Wednesday as he penned a four-year deal.

And that means Tierney will be free to join Arsenal who have reportedly made a fresh bid for his signature.

It is claimed that the Gunners have made a £25million offer which will be made in instalments because of their strict transfer budget.

An initial £10m will be paid in the first year and then £10m in the second season.

A further £5m in add-ons will be paid during the remainder of his contract.

It remains to be seen whether Celtic will accept the offer with Napoli also interested in his signature.

Arsenal had already launched a £15m bid but Celtic quickly rejected the offer.

Boss Unai Emery is hopeful of landing a new left-back but is prepared to blow almost all of his transfer budget of Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha.

The Spaniard was handed a transfer budget of just £40m having failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Zaha is expected to cost around £70m after Arsenal saw an initial £40m opening offer rejected.
