Arsenal have been locked in talks with Celtic for weeks as the Scottish champs are holding out for £25million for Tierney.

But the Gunners are claimed to have eventually made an offer that could satisfy Hoops chiefs.

Their first bid of £15m was quickly rejected by the Scots, who insisted they would only sell their star for the right price.

But Arsenal fans are now hopeful a deal with is imminent after new defender Bolingoli-Mbombo joined Neil Lennon's side late on Wednesday.

And they took to social media to share their assumptions with fellow Gunners.

Frank wrote on Twitter: "Tierney to Arsenal is done then fellas."

While Dan simply used hashtag #AnnounceTierney.

Celtic fans, however, were quick to point out that Tierney was Lennon's only left-back before Bolingoli-Mbombo joined.

Therefore, they argued that Arsenal fans' joy could be premature.

The Hoops are yet to accept the latest Gunners offer, which will reportedly be made in instalments because of their strict transfer budget.

An initial £10m will be paid in the first year and then £10m in the second season.

A further £5m in add-ons will be paid during the remainder of his contract.
