AND IT OVER

Ander Herrera quit Man Utd for PSG because they would not meet outrageous £350,000-a-week demands

ANDER HERRERA left Manchester United after they refused to meet his £350,000-a-week salary demands, reports claim.

The midfielder has joined French champs Paris Saint-Germain after his contract with the Premier League side expired.

And according to the 29-year-old wanted a whopping five-year deal worth £18million to stay at Old Trafford.

That would have made him the second-highest earning player at the club, not far behind flop Alexis Sanchez's £390,000-a-week.

Herrera made only 27 appearances in all competitions for United as they ended a miserable season in sixth position.

He made 189 appearances for the Old Trafford side after joining from Athletic Bilbao for £29million in 2014 - scoring 20 goals and grabbing 27 assists.

PARIS WITH LOVE

The midfielder won the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League during his five-year spell in England.

But Herrera has now said he was looking forward to living in Paris, which he labels as "the world's most beautiful city".

He also promised PSG fans they can expect professionalism and passion from him - and also vowed to improve his French.

Herrera told the club's website: "Paris Saint-Germain is the greatest club in France. It keeps on improving and competes to win every possible title.

"I was looking forward to coming to Paris and to wearing those colours.

"I hope to continue to make history with the club.

"Joining this club is an amazing feeling. I also love the city. Paris is the most beautiful city in the world.

"I promise three things: work, professionalism and passion.

"I also promise to improve my French because I think that the language is very important for the team’s communication.";
