FRANK LAMPARD rolled back the years as he got stuck in with two Chelsea training sessions on Saturday.
The new Blues boss is keen to put his players through their paces ahead of Wednesday's clash against Bohemians on July 10.
Club legend Lampard has hit the ground running since he was announced as Maurizio Sarri's successor last week.
The Blues have jetted off to the Irish capital to continue their preparations for the 2019/20 campaign.
With just days until their first pre-season match, Lampard decided to put his team through two brutal sessions on Saturday.
His players completed a number of fitness-based drills before working on keeping the ball moving at pace.
Michy Batshuayi was back in action with his Chelsea team-mates after he made an early return to pre-season.
The Belgian forward, who spent last season on loan at Valencia and Crystal Palace, is determined to impress the new gaffer.
And Lampard has urged the Chelsea outcasts to prove that they belong at the club.
Tiemoue Bakayoko was also back with the Blues following his disappointing loan spell Italian giants AC Milan.
