SECOND-TIER

Arsenal’s £25m Kieran Tierney transfer offer rejected by Celtic as it involves too many add-ons

ARSENAL have seen a second £25million bid rejected for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney.

The Gunners lodged a second offer for their top transfer target over the weekend but have been told to stump up a higher initial fee.

SunSport understands Celtic have told them they won’t accept an offer that includes various add-ons.

The Scottish champions are open to selling the 22-year-old but want a £25m fee paid outright.

Arsenal are now expected to come back with a third offer for the talent as boss Unai Emery looks to plug a gap in the left side of his defence.

The Spanish manager has already had an initial £15m offer knocked back.

Arsenal remain confident they can land Tierney — and are ready to offer him a five-year contract worth £20m.

But the transfer fee remains a sticking point considering Arsenal's stingy £45m summer budget and Emery's quest to improve other areas of his squad.

Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha remains a big money target but Arsenal are ready to bide their time to see if the Ivory Coast winger forces his way out of Selhurst Park.

And if they can't conclude a deal, then Brazilian talent Everton is an option having revealed he's received a lucrative offer to leave Gremio.

Everton has been tipped for a big-money move after starring at this month's Copa America, scoring in the Samba Boys' 3-1 final victory over Peru.

And Arsenal are believed to have held positive talks for the 23-year-old’s coveted signature.
