Sarri spent three years at Napoli between 2015 and 2018, guiding them to the runners-up spot before moving to England with Chelsea.

The tactician won the Europa League and finished third during his maiden Premier League season.

But Sarri quickly jumped ship for a move back home when Max Allegri was let go by champions Juve.

Napoli fans turned against Gonzalo Higuain when he ditched them for the Turin giants in 2016.

And Insigne has vowed to do everything in his power to beat Sarri when the two meet in the new campaign.

He said: “I said it before and I say it again. For us Neapolitans, that was a betrayal.

“And it will be forever. Now we have to focus on ourselves and try to beat him at all costs.

“Now that he’s gone to Juve, I don’t want to talk about him any more.

“The Scudetto is a dream for all of us and we will try once more.

“[My future?] No, I never thought of leaving Napoli. I’m still young, I’m happy in Naples and want to stay here for the rest of my career.”
