Arsenal transfer target Kieran Tierney is ‘more rounded’ defender than £50m Man Utd star Wan-Bissaka, claims Celtic boss Lennon
ARSENAL target Kieran Tierney is "more-rounded" than £50million Manchester United star Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to Neil Lennon.
The Celtic boss has claimed Tierney, 22, is more experienced than the former Crystal Palace man and will fight to keep him at the club.
Arsenal are thought to have bid £25m for the left-back but that has been rejected by the Hoops.
Speaking on the Tierney transfer rumours, Lennon conceded: "We can't do anything about what clubs do in England.
"The £50m for Wan-Bissaka is a lot of money and we feel Kieran is a far more experienced and rounded full-back at this juncture in his career.
"He's an asset for us and we do have a value for the player and we rate the player very highly.
"So disrespectful is the wrong word but we're certainly not going to be pushed over in any negotiations.
LOW-BALL OFFERS
"We're in a very strong position with regard to a number of our assets in the team."
Reports claim Arsenal are frustrating Celtic with their low-ball offers.
The "skint" Gunners have just £45m to play with this summer and are offering to pay the £25m the Hoops want for Tierney in instalments, rather than one lump sum.
Speaking on the long-running Saga, Lennon added: "The club's valuation of Kieran has not been met and until then we don't have a discussion to make.
"I don't know what Arsenal's financial state is. I know what ours is and we are quite comfortable with the situation at the moment.
