Zidane responds to Pogba rumours by insisting Real Madrid have a ‘plan’ in place as they chase Man Utd star
REAL MADRID “have a plan” to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, Zinedine Zidane has revealed.
The French World Cup winner announced plans to leave Old Trafford this season, with his agent Mino Raiola actively working on a transfer.
Former club Juventus, French champions PSG and Real are all in for the 26-year-old, who United have set a £180million price tag on.
Real have already spent £300m this summer on Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy, Rodrygo.
But Pogba remains a target for Real, and Zidane insists the club knows what they want before deadline day next month.
The Real boss said: “We have a plan with the club and we’ll see what happens.
“But today we are focused on tomorrow’s game [against Bayern Munich].
“What happens next will already be seen. You know many things, but we will see. Lots of things can happen.
“We have to respect things, with the club we know what we want and what can happen until the 31st we can make changes, departures and also that they can come.
“I will not go into that. You have to respect some things.”
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to keep playmaker Pogba.
The France star is even in line to take over as captain at United next month, despite his agent insisting a transfer away from Old Trafford is possible.
