CHELSEA are planning to send Fikayo Tomori out on loan again with a number of Premier League clubs interested, according to reports.

The 21-year-old was a key feature under Frank Lampard at Derby last term and has continued to impress under the new Blues boss in pre-season.

The England Under-21 international remains highly-rated at the Stamford Bridge club having progressed through the academy.

But Chelsea's squad depth in central defence means Lampard is planning to loan out Tomori again amid interest from sides in the Premier League, Bundesliga and the Primavera, according to .

Burnley were thought to be chasing the talented youngster as a possible replacement for in-demand James Tarkowski.

Derby were also keen on Tomori returning to Pride Park, but the report claim Chelsea want the Rams' player of the year tested at the next level.

The former Brighton loanee started on the bench for the Blues' 2-1 friendly against Barcelona in Japan on Tuesday.

Lampard already has the experienced David Luiz, Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma as his options at centre-back.

The latter's recent commitment to staying at Chelsea will also see Tomori's first-team opportunities reduced next season.

The 24-year-old says he is a better all-round player after a successful loan at Everton, who would love him back at Goodison Park for another campaign.

But the Frenchman said: “It is true that I enjoyed my time at Everton but I’m a Chelsea player and we’ll see what will happen in the end.

“I think it will be here at Chelsea - I want to do well in pre-season and get my chance here - but the most important thing is to work and to prepare for the season very well.”
