GUNNER TRY AGAIN

Arsenal to make new Zaha offer ‘considerably higher’ than first £40m bid

CRYSTAL PALACE are braced for a fresh approach from Arsenal for Wilfried Zaha as the Gunners look to improve on their initial £40million bid.

That offer landed far from the Eagles' valuation of the winger, which is thought to be around £80m.

Arsenal hoped to pay the sum over five years and even wanted a discount if they managed to pay the instalments early.

Now, a new offer is incoming that will be substantially higher than last time, according to Sky Sports.

However Everton are ready to make their own push to sign Zaha.

The Toffees are set to lose midfielder Idrissa Gueye to Paris Saint-Germain and that could release funds to rival Arsenal.

It is widely reported that Zaha desires a switch to North London.

Since joining Palace in 2015, he has been a vital cog in their attack with ten goals in 36 games last season.

The Gunners' lack of funds has helped create the impasse, with Unai Emery only given around £45m to spend this summer after his side didn't qualify for the Champions League.

Therefore a big money deal for the winger may demand direct investment from owner Stan Kroenke.
