Newcastle dream to land Danny Rose in tatters over Tottenham star’s wage demands

The Newcastle boss had Rose as his number one left-back target after Spurs put him up for £20million.

But Toon are looking at getting players on around  £50,000-a-week, pricing Rose out of a move.

The 29-year-old currently earns around £60k-a-week in North London.

But the England ace was not on Spurs’ pre-season tour of Asia and will be allowed to leave.

Paris Saint-Germain recently moved above Juventus in the race to sign the left-back given their willingness to pay a bigger salary.

And the French champions believe they have the edge over the Italian giants and want to make him part of Thomas Tuchel’s squad next season.

PSG have already landed Ander Herrera from the Premier League.

And Rose could be the next English-based star to look abroad for the next step of his career.

Maurizio Sarri was willing to take him to Juve to join ex-North London rival Aaron Ramsey but it is PSG who are now front of the queue.
