Man Utd should sell Pogba as they need players who ‘care about the club’, says Bastian Schweinsteiger in brutal blast
BASTIAN SCHWEINSTEIGER thinks Manchetser United should sell Paul Pogba this summer.
The 34-year-old German currently plays for MLS side Chicago Fire but turned out for United between 2015-17 and he did not hold back when asked his thoughts on the Frenchman.
Pogba, 26, has wanted out of Old Trafford all summer since stating he wanted a new challenge.
Real Madrid are his main suitors but are reluctant to pay United's £150million valuation while they still have Welsh ace Gareth Bale on their books.
'IF A PLAYER WANTS TO LEAVE YOU SHOULDN'T STOP HIM'
However, Los Blancos are said to be 'increasingly confident' of landing the World Cup winner - and his former teammate Schweinsteiger thinks United should let him go.
Speaking to Sport, the ex-Bayern Munich man said: "If a player wants to leave the club, you shouldn't stop him.
"You need players who are 100 per cent into the club and care about the club, that's the only way you can survive at the top level and have success.
