MANCHESTER UNITED'S stars arrived home following their pre-season win in Norway last night after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer bemoaned his side's lack of clinical finishing.
The Old Trafford squad were met by fans as they landed at Manchester Airport, after a late Juan Mata penalty saw them scrape past minnows Kristiansund.
Solskjaer was left furious at his side's inability to take their chances, with experienced striker Romelu Lukaku on the brink of leaving.
United unleashed 33 shots against Solskjaer's hometown team - which saw the Norwegian's son make his senior debut - hitting the target just 12 times.
Despite that, the Red Devils required a 92nd-minute spot-kick to scrape past Kristiansund to keep up their pre-season win streak.
On the win, Solskjaer claimed: “I’ve said before in press conferences that we need to be more clinical. That’s where you win games.
"I think we’re looking solid at the back. They had a great chance early in the second half and we should have done better.
MUST IMPROVE
"We’re going to keep working, keep improving, keep making the relationships between the players and the patterns work even better.
"It’s not a concern but it’s something we’re going to have to improve on.”
United wasted no time in getting back on home soil, having left immediately after the win - and were spotted in Manchester in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Paul Pogba - on the brink of a £145million move to Real Madrid - wore a beanie, red headphones and an un-tucked white shirt as he did his best to avoid the autograph-hunters who'd gathered.
The mood of the squad appeared sombre, despite sealing their fifth straight pre-season win, on the back of victories against Tottenham, Inter Milan, Leeds and Perth Glory.

The £75m-rated Belgian, 26, is set to join Juventus with Paulo Dybala coming the other way - but the Argentine star must first give the deal the green light.
On Tuesday, SunSport exclusively revealed Juve had offered Dybala and Mario Mandzukic plus £10million in a package to land Lukaku.
