Spurs confident in finally sealing £25m Ryan Sessegnon transfer with teen sensation desperate to leave Fulham
SPURS are confident of finally pushing through a deal for Ryan Sessegnon.
The teenage star will not play for Fulham away to Barnsley in the Championship tomorrow afternoon due to a hamstring injury.
Both Tottenham and Fulham have been at loggerheads over a fee even though Sessegnon, 19, has made it clear he wants a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Mauricio Pochettino has been tracking the 19-year-old's development over the past 18 months.
With speculation growing that Danny Rose could leave, the Argentine tactician doesn’t want to be left short of options at left back.
Fulham had still been hoping Sessegnon would sign a new contract but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is looking to complete a deal for between £20million and £25m.
Levy’s hard bargaining has also threatened to ruin Tottenham’s bid to land Real Betis playmaker Giovani Lo Celso.
Spurs are looking to complete a £45m deal with the Seville-based club.
A move, meanwhile, could also be wrapped up for Sporting Lisbon goal machine Bruno Fernandes - if they can fight off Manchester United.
