Arsenal boost as injured Hector Bellerin says he is a ‘few weeks’ away from return

ARSENAL have been handed a major boost with injured Hector Bellerin revealing he is just a "few weeks" away from making his comeback.

The Spanish full-back, 24, told the BBC he is on the brink of returning to full training, eight months after being stretchered off with a horror knee injury against Chelsea.

Arsenal are set to start the season with Ainsley Maitland-Niles at right-back with Bellerin still recovering from the ACL rupture that required surgery.

The Spaniard is just one of a few huge names set to start the season on the injury table, including team-mate Alexandre Lacazette.

But he's still played a huge role for the Gunners this summer - including helping to recruit Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid.

After heading to the Emirates, Ceballos revealed: "Well, as you know there are Spanish players here like Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin.

"I get on really well with Hector away from football, on a personal level.

“I told him I was thinking of joining and he told me not to think twice because this is a great city and a great club and that I was going to have a great time.

"I can’t wait to see him and say thanks for his help in getting me here.”

In a busy summer, Arsenal have somehow managed to procure £141million of talent with their budget of just £45m.

The Gunners have landed Nicolas Pepe (£72m), William Saliba (£27m), Kieran Tierney (£25m) and Gabriel Martinelli (£6m) to go with the £3m loan deal for Ceballos.

David Luiz is also on the brink of arriving for an £8m fee from Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are hoping to move Shkodran Mustafi on - even though he boasts better stats than Luiz.
