Rio Ferdinand predicts Man Utd will break into top four, Arsenal and Chelsea will miss out and Norwich, Aston Villa and Southampton will go down
RIO FERDINAND sees Manchester City pipping Liverpool again for the Premier League title - and old club United to make it back into the top four.
The Red Devils legend, 40, also has Tottenham making the Champions League, leaving Arsenal and Chelsea in the Europa League spots.
While his surprise tip for relegation is Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton.
Asked for his United prediction, Ferdinand replied: “Fourth. I think we’ll finish Champions League position. I really hope we do.
“Chelsea and Arsenal in Europa. Spurs and United for the Champions League. City to win it, Liverpool second.
“Going down, I think Norwich will be a bit short, haven’t really invested, a young team. Villa, will all those players gel? And then I’m going to go someone like Southampton.
“I think Brighton will be down there, Newcastle too. But those three, I’m going to go for. Surprise package: Sheffield United.”
Expanding on why he feels Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men can make the top four, Ferdy said: “There’s been a new idea, transfer policy wise, young British hungry players.
