ALEXIS SANCHEZ is reportedly considering an opportunity to play on loan at Roma rather than be a bit-part player at Manchester United this season.
Likely to miss the Red Devils' opener with Chelsea on Sunday, the Chilean started only a handful of games under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer due to injuries and poor form last time out.
And Sanchez could have the chance to find form in Serie A after Roma came calling.

It is said the Red Devils would have to contribute a significant portion of his wages to make the deal viable, Sanchez earning as much as £500,000-a-week after bonuses.

Solskjaer is prepared to hand Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial the attacking reins this campaign with youngsters Dan James and Mason Greenwood given support roles.

The United boss admitted that he had only played once since starting training but was confident he will remain past the September 2 deadline for European clubs.
Solskjaer said on Friday: "Alexis has come in and trained well.
"He’s four or five weeks behind the boys and has not played apart from the one behind closed doors here, so I think he’ll see [Lukaku's exit] as an opportunity as well to make his mark.

Expected to approach the season with a narrow 4-3-1-2 setup, the Norwegian appears to see Sanchez primarily as a striker and played him through the middle on occasion last year.
