KIERAN TIERNEY and Hector Bellerin were pictured taking part in Arsenal training together as Unai Emery's first-choice full-backs get back towards fitness.
The Gunners defenders are both expected to be on the sidelines until October as they battle groin and knee injuries, respectively.
They joined crocked team-mates Granit Xhaka and Dinos Mavropanos in working away from the first-team ahead of the first home game against Burnley this weekend.
Tierney joined Arsenal from Celtic on deadline day in a £25million deal but the club already knew the Scottish star was recovering from a groin injury.
The 22-year-old passed his medical but is not expected to be able to take part in full training for another seven weeks following his double hernia operation.
Bellerin was also working outside as he continues with his on-field rehabilitation eight months after being stretchered off against Chelsea.
Club-record signing Nicolas Pepe was pictured with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette as he fights to make his full debut.
Speaking to the club's website on whether the winger is ready to start, boss Emery said: "I am going to decide on Friday because now is a small difference for my decision about the player.
"It depends how they will be tomorrow in the training. But Pepe is training with us, is improving with us, is knowing us, our idea, our style, is able to understand his team-mates better.
"Physically also, getting better. He's more close to helping us than he was at the beginning, after giving us an impact during the match."

Emery also confirmed that Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac will be in the squad to face Burnley for the first time since they were held up at knifepoint.
Both players were left out of the Gunners' opening game at Newcastle because of "further security threats".
But despite ongoing concerns, Ozil, 30, returned to training this morning while 26-year-old Kolasinac went back yesterday.
