Alexis Sanchez wanted by FIVE Italian clubs but £505k-a-week wages at Man Utd causing issues over transfer away
MANCHESTER UNITED flop Alexis Sanchez is wanted by FIVE Italian clubs - but his eye-watering £505,000-a-week wages are delaying a move.
It's claimed the 30-year-old forward is not wanted by Old Trafford boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and faces a battle to get first-team football in a team dominated by much younger players.
Juventus, Napoli, AC Milan and Inter Milan are all interested in signing Chile star Sanchez, according to .
And SunSport told you that Solskjaer - desperate to get rid of Sanchez before the European transfer window closes on September 2 - is willing to pay Roma to take him on loan.
Roma do want the former Arsenal man on loan but refuse to pay his huge salary, which the claim reaches £560,000-a-week when his £100,000-a-week image rights agreement and other factors are taken into account.
Sanchez made his name with Udinese eight years ago so going to Italy will not be new.
And his successful five-year spell there has made Italian clubs confident he can reproduce that form.
MASSIVE WAGE A PROBLEM
The say Sanchez has had his head turned by Serie A after a dismal run in Manchester, which has seen him score just three goals in 32 games.
But no one is willing to stump up a big fee for Sanchez - who SunSport told you is dragging his heals over a transfer.
And it is believed that all five of the Italian clubs favour a loan move with an eye to a permanent deal later on.
It is further claimed that United may have to subsidise some of Sanchez's £26million-a-year wages as part of any deal.
The Times add that Juventus, who splashed £99m on Cristiano Ronaldo last summer, could be the frontrunners to land Sanchez.
They say Sanchez's agent, Fernando Felicevich, met with Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici in Turin in May.
Sanchez is also said to be looking at a move after Romelu Lukaku, one of his best mates at United, left for Inter Milan.
The Belgium forward completed his £73m move after a falling out with Solskjaer that came after he posted confidential information about their training on Twitter.
Latest Man Utd news
Speaking today, Solskjaer offered Sanchez an olive branch should a move fail to materialise.
Ahead of Monday night's game at Wolves, the Man Utd boss said: "We don't have the biggest forward line in numbers, so Alexis might end up playing a lot more games than you expect, we expect him to come good at this club, he's quality.
"We've had a behind closed doors game, he's training, a little bit of extras, he'll be gradually integrated into more playing time, but we'll have more behind closed doors games and one game a week it's hard to keep players ticking."
