Chelsea fans tell ‘pathetic’ Willian to ‘get out of our club’ after he tweets message marking 200 Premier League games
CHELSEA fans have called Willian "pathetic" and demanded he "get out of the club" on Twitter.
The Brazilian tweeted a message marking 200 Premier League games for the Blues but fans were not ready to revel in celebration with the wide man.
Despite his considerable contribution during his time with the club, Chelsea fans on Twitter had no time for sentiment.
One said: "Leave my club for good ASAP."
While others poked fun at his paltry goal return of around one goal every seven games and added: "And 28 goals or so. Pathetic."
FrankTweets chimed in with: "A goal every 8 or so, you are better than that, you can do a goal every 4 this year."
But not all fans were so damning.
Tom Clifford replied: "Shame about some of the pathetic replies. Congratulations Willian. Fantastic servant for our football club, always worked hard as well, many more to come."
There is mixed feeling among Chelsea fans.
The more balanced view being that the 31-year-old will struggle for game time under Frank Lampard given the new boss' policy of promoting youth and also the recent form of Pedro and Mason Mount.
The imminent return of Callum Hudson-Odoi does nothing to help the Brazilian's cause either.
Willian was described as disastrous when he came off the bench in Chelsea's 1-1 home draw with Leicester and was only good enough for a place on the bench again during their 3-2 win at Norwich on Saturday.
