'HATE THIS MAN'

Joe Hart trolled as Burnley keeper only saves one shot – which he palms straight to Sunderland scorer

JOE HART suffered a disastrous first game since Boxing Day having conceded three goals and saving just one shot - which was then scored on the rebound.

The ex-England No1 hadn’t appeared for Burnley since defeat against Everton on December 26 in the Premier League.

However, Sean Dyche handed Hart a start against Sunderland at Turf Moor in the League Cup second round.

But it was a nightmare return for the 32-year-old with Burnley losing 3-1 and being dumped out of the competition at home.

Hart conceded three from the four shots he faced - with the save he later made falling into the path of Tom Flanagan, who then scored.

The ex-Manchester City keeper faced the wrath online, with one calling for Burnley stopper to never play in claret and blue again.

One said: "I must have watched, over the years, Joe Hart a hundred times? - and I’ve yet to see him have a good game at any level."

Another said: "That's what happens when Joe Hart is in net, I hate this man."

One added: "I’m not saying Joe Hart should never play for Burnley ever again, but...

"oh no, sorry. Yes. That’s exactly what I mean."

The 32-year-old has been linked with a move away from Turf Moor all summer, having lost his place in the starting XI to Nick Pope.

Burnley sold Tom Heaton to Aston Villa, but it was though Hart still wanted to find first-team football.

However, no Premier League clubs made a move for the former title winner, with the window closing on August 8.
