And his talent spotters have reported back with a glowing reference.

And the claim the Reds will keep tabs on the ace after his stunning performance.

Liverpool scouts were impressed by Cakir, who made eight saves during Trabzonspor's 1-1 draw with Fenerbahce.

And he is being considered as a long term option for second choice goalkeeper behind Alisson Becker.

According to Turkish broadcaster Star TV, Bordeaux are also interested in Cakir and will monitor his progress before negotiations begin.

Liverpool are currently short of options in the position, after Becker's injury against Norwich on the opening day of the season.

Adrian was signed on a free transfer this summer as cover but has played every game since the Brazilian hobbled off in their opening game against Norwich.

Academy graduate Caoimhin Kelleher has been on the bench in the last two games.
