WANDA NARA has described Mauro Icardi's move to Paris Saint-Germain as the "worst option" for her personally despite having helped her husband and client leave Inter Milan.
A season-long loan switch to Ligue 1 was confirmed on transfer deadline day and will see the striker leave his family back in Italy.
For Nara, who is Icardi's often controversial agent, the move was described as a very difficult one but nonetheless an "ace up [her] sleeve" as the clock ticked.
The presenter and model, 32, told Argentine broadcast Morfi Telefe: “Mauro packed a small suitcase and left the rest to me.
"The kids go to school in Italy, so we’ll live between Milan and Paris.
"Of the three options we had, PSG was the worst for me, because I have to go back to live in Milan with the kids.
“But I thought of what was best for him. There were many important Italian clubs who wanted him and it would have been easier.”
Inter were desperate to get rid of Icardi due to ongoing spats between the player and club as well as Financial Fair Play issues.
Stripping the star striker of the armband earlier in the year, he subsequently sued the Nerazzurri for refusing him entry to recent pre-game tactical sessions.
Nonetheless Icardi refused a number of transfers and insisted he wanted to stay in Milan, where he is building his new home.
And Nara, who has also found herself in public disputes with club bosses, insisted that the prospect of signing for Juventus was "never" on for a former Inter captain.
In a separate chat with on Friday, the Argentine hit back at suggestions she is a negative force in Icardi's future.

Nara said: "I'm the one who solved it.
"It was difficult to get out of this situation and to do so by finding a team of that level. The Paris move makes me, him and the family proud."
She added: "I think he will come back. I don't know where and how. Inter will always be the priority."
