Man Utd fans slam FIFA 20 after leak shows Arsenal flop Mustafi has higher rating than Maguire…before realising it’s fake
MANCHESTER UNITED fans rushed to slam FIFA 20 after a leak showed Shkodran Mustafi to have a higher rating than Harry Maguire...before realising it's a fake.
SunSport revealed last month that the Arsenal flop boasted better stats than the world's most expensive defender almost across the board last season.
EA Sports released their official player ratings this week, with Barcelona icon Lionel Messi crowned the best on the game with a 94-rating.
Kevin De Bruyne was made the Premier League's standout star, just ahead of Liverpool duo Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.
But United fans were ready to crucify FIFA's decision to rate Arsenal's much-maligned Mustafi higher than £80million defender Maguire.
A leaked screenshot of the two's player cards showed the German - with an all-round rating of 83 – scoring higher than Maguire in pace, shooting, passing AND defending.
One tweeted: “@EASPORTSFIFA how on earth is Mustafi better rated than the worlds most expensive defender?
"Even if you don't agree on the price of Maguire, something that we can all agree on is Maguire is a million times a better defender than Mustafi. Absolute joke.”
Another added: “How has Mustafi got a higher rating on Fifa than Maguire? I swear FIFA are mad.”
A third wrote: “Harry Maguire is rated 82 on the new fifa. Mustafi is 83. The sheer disrespect is crazy.”
But those fans can relax, because the leak is FAKE, with Mustafi actually receiving a huge downgrade to 79-rated.
And his real stats sees the Gunners centre-back only best his United rival in two stats, for pace and shooting.
