The report Neville as saying: "His agent is a disgrace and has been a disgrace all over Europe – not just for Manchester United.

"They must stop working with him. He doesn’t have the values you want in your club.

"My opinion is that Manchester United need not negotiate with him.

"He will try to fix a transfer for his player, and will try to take part of the transfer sum himself. That’s how he operates."

Real Madrid and Juventus' pursuit of Pogba all summer cast a shadow over Old Trafford - and reports claimed he had agreed a massive £429,000-a-week deal with PSG.

The French World Cup winner, 26, told the club he wanted a "new challenge somewhere else" after finishing the season as their top scorer with 13 goals.

Former Old Trafford star Zlatan Ibrahimovic told Utd to let Pogba leave and replace him with someone who wants to be there.

And Pogba's brother Mathias confirmed just last month that his sibling wanted out of Manchester before the European transfer deadline.

Pogba hinted that he would leave United after the 4-0 win over Chelsea in their first game of the season by saying "question marks remain" over his future.

And Mathias, who plays for French side Troyes, further added fuel to the fire.

He told Spanish TV programme El Chiringuito: "Paul wants to go. He can't do everything at United.

"The player that Zidane is missing is Paul. It's not impossible for Florentino to sign him.

"I can't guarantee that Paul will continue at United. Until September 2, anything can happen. Madrid needs the football and joy that Paul brings."

And Neville said that Pogba's desire to leave had been "devastating" for the club.

He added: "[Pogba] wants to leave. He has made it clear.

"For Manchester United, it’s devastating. He is one of the best and most famous players in the world, but every week there are new issues.

"There is always controversy. It’s probably not his own fault, but the fact is that it is devastating for a club."
